Orbán: Sabotage Plots Are Being Hatched Against the Turkish Stream in Vojvodina by Unknown Forces

The Sunday Defense Council convened to uncover a sinister plot: unknown actors are actively preparing a sabotage attack on the Turkish Stream pipeline in Vojvodina. Viktor Orbán revealed this chilling reality in a video after the meeting. He stressed that he coordinated with Aleksandar Vucic, and based on these talks, no one was harmed, while the gas pipeline remains unharmed.

Viktor Orbán also spoke in the video about thanking Vucic for the work of the Serbian authorities, as the Serbs – just like the Hungarians – have reinforced the protection of the pipeline.

The operation of the Turkish Stream is vital for Hungary, as we obtain 60% of our gas consumption through it. The Prime Minister emphasized that due to these events, the government has ordered an increased military defense of the pipeline’s domestic section. The Serbian authorities are constantly investigating the matter, and they are cooperating with the Hungarian authorities.

An energy crisis of unprecedented magnitude is approaching Europe. European countries need Russian energy, and they will need even more in the future.

For years, Ukraine has been working to cut Europe off from Russian energy. They blew up the Nord Stream, closed the gas pipeline arriving in Hungary with the Friendship pipeline, and placed us under an oil blockade, while continuously attacking the Turkish Stream’s Russian section militarily. Ukraine’s efforts pose a life-threatening danger to Hungary, and we will defend our energy security.
